H. Dieter Dellmann, 92, passed away on September 15, 2023, at his home with his loving wife by his side. A private service will be held at a later date. A public celebration will be held on Friday, October 27, from 5-6:30 PM, at R Read Obituary

Dr. Dellmann trained me in electron microscopy at the Univ. of MO, Vet. Sch. of Med., in Columbia in the 70s. He was a wonderful patient man, with a dynamic personality. Working with him changed my life--affording me a skill that afforded me a career. I will forever be grateful to him and his wisdom. Good to see he had a long life with Renate.
Dieter’s visits to Reiman were a bright spot in my day. He is missed most grievously. We shared the same birthday 20 years apart, but I felt a kinship each time I saw his face. May all find peace and comfort in his memory.
My deepest condolences. Dr. Dellmann was one of my professors many years ago. I will always remember his attention to detail, his insistence that we meet the high standards he set, and his complete professionalism. I never really knew him on a personal level. As an educator, though, he demanded much of us and we were all the better for it. I admire him to this day and recognize the loss to your family and others fortunate enough to know him. My very best wishes.
While in vet school, Dr. Dellman was a wonderful instructor and so helpful to many. He will be missed.
