Aug. 12, 1941 - July 4, 2013

Marilyn K. Jones, 71, of Ames, passed away on July 4, 2013 at Israel Family Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.

Marilyn was born in Iowa City on Aug. 12, 1941 to Harley (Jack) and Elva Banks.

She leaves her loving son, Rob Hennick, of Nevada; daughter, Kimberly Hadaway (Robert C. Bane), of Ames; grandchildren, Amy (Steve), Jeremie (Christie), and Jordan; great grandchildren, Savannah, RyAnn, Elle and Lars; two brothers, Darrell (Judy), Kenny (Sandy); sister, JoAnn; sister-in-law, Barb; and many extended family members.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry D. Jones; brothers, Lyle, Gary, Ronnie, and Harley.

A celebration of life will be held at Maple Shelter at Brookside Park from 5-7 pm on July 9th. Online condolences may be sent to www.grandonfuneralandcremationcare.com
