Geraldine "Geri" Hand age 91, of Riverside Manor died Thursday, November 28, 2013. A gathering of friends and family will be 11:00 am until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way Ames, Iowa. A 1:30 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 3, graveside funeral service will be at Collins Cemetery in Collins, Iowa.

Geraldine (Geri) Hand was born July 2, 1922 in Eldridge, Missouri, the daughter of Clint and Ida (McClure) Looney. Geri married William Delane Hand on September 30, 1945 in her home in Loring, Iowa.

Geri worked at Long Beach Naval Hospital until she retired in 1976, then moved to Collins, Iowa. In 2008, she moved to Ames, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.

Geri is survived by her brother, James Holl of Joplin, MO, son, Eldon Ray Hand of Nevada, IA, grandchildren, Susan Duke of Warner Robins, GA, Ray Cooper of Des Moines, IA, Ashley McDermont of Little Suamico, WS, Victoria Hand of St. Louis Park, MN, Samantha Hand of Nevada, IA, Delaney Hand of Nevada, IA,
Jax Hand of Nevada, IA, and 7 great grandchildren.
