Marguerite Sevde was born on January 8, 1926 to Edward E. Theobald and Margaretta (Williams) Theobald in Barneveld, Wisconsin. She attended Hollandale High School and graduated at the age of 16. She graduated University of Wisconsin- Platteville at the age of 18 with a teaching degree. She taught High School Math and during the summers worked in Madison at the radio/television station.

Marguerite came to Iowa State University to take post graduate classes and during her time there, she met those who would eventually start WOI TV. Those connections eventually led to her becoming the first Public Relations Director at WOI TV. Marguerite met Dick Sevde, who had just started Sevde Transfer and Storage a household moving business and thought the new medium would be great for advertising. On April 10, 1957, they married at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Once married, Maggie joined Dick running the moving business for 55 years.

Dick and Maggie had many adventures personally and professionally which were shared with family and dear friends within the community, nationally and world-wide.

She is survived by one son, Richard "Randy" Sevde of Roland and his children, Kristi, Joshua, Isabel, and Gabriel and one daughter Karin Sevde of Ames. Maggie is preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Sevde, a brother, George Theobald and granddaughter Elsa Sevde.

Randy and Karin, I was so sorry to hear of your Mothers passing. I also have many, many fond memories of working with your whole family in the early 80's. Your employment helped me make it through college. I loved working with everyone and still remember sitting around the shop at the end of the day with everyone having a cold refreshment.

My deepest sympathies during this time.
