Abraham "Abe" Tim, age 33, of Des Moines formerly of Ames passed away suddenly Dec 23, at a friend's home. A gathering of friends and family will be 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care with a 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, funeral service at Crossroads Baptist Church in Ames.
Abe was born on October, 1, 1982 in Montreal, Canada the son of Sunday and Hazel Tim. The family moved to Ames in 1990. He attended Crossroads Baptist Church in Ames, ran high school track the 100 meter dash, graduating from Ames High School in 2000. He enlisted into the Army National Guard and later joined the US Army and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. He enjoyed traveling and time with friends and family, he assisted with trouble youth programs when time would allow it.
He is survived by his parents, Sunday and Hazel Tim, siblings, Allison Tim, Christina Tim, Samuel (Taylor) Tim, and David Tim and several extended family members.
