Charlie Bell Williams, age 88, of Ames, IA died February 17, 2016 at Israel Family Hospice in Ames.
Charlie Bell was born September 10, 1927, in Allentown, FL to R. D. and Ruby (Elliot) Purvis.
Charlie Bell married George Williams on July 27, 1947 in Brewton, AL. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In 2009, George and Charlie Bell moved to Ames from Pensacola, FL.
Charlie Bell is survived by three daughters; Jo Ann (Kenneth) Lauter of Pensacola, FL, Beverly (William) Crumpton of Ames, Janice Andrus of Ames, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Charlie Bell is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2010 and two siblings.
A private family graveside service at the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
I volunteer at the senior adult daycare. I enjoyed my time with her and her big smile such a happy lady. I will miss her very much
I'm worked at the Adult Day Center where CharlieBell attended. She was such a wonderful lady, I always called her my "little southern bell." I loved when she'd tell me I made her coffee and oatmeal "Just right." She will be missed greatly. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry to hear of the death of your mother. She was such a beautiful lady and will be missed.
