Wayne Jackson, born November 29, 1927 in rural Reinbeck, IA, passed from our lives on July 26th 2017. He married Betty J. Young of Traer, IA. on August 15, 1949 and has lived in Ames Iowa since 1957. Wayne worked for IBM for over 30 years while raising 5 children. He is survived by his wife Betty, his children Terri Georgesen, Kathryn Thorson, Nicholas Jackson, Cynthia Joan (CJ) Jackson and Patrick Jackson, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
We will gather to celebrate Wayne's life at Grandon Funeral home, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA. from 4-6:00 p.m., Thursday August 3rd.

Thank you Dad for always being there for me. The laughs we had the last 8 months while I was taking care of you and Mom I will carry with me forever.
