I grew up in Glenview on Longmeadow Drive with the Dragula family and just learned last night that Sherry had passed away. I remember her as being a very, very sweet girl, from a lovely family, so am not surprised to read that by all accounts she grew up to become a lovely woman. My condolences to the Dragula family on the loss of Sherry and on the loss of Mary.

Mark, I will be thinking of Sherry strolling through Doolittle Prairie at dusk, smiling and laughing as the two of you walked together, chatting with people about plants, birds, and other wildlife around us.

My wife just had cancer surgery last week, and while her prognosis is good, I know a little bit about how you must feel.

Whenever I saw Sherry she was always happy - she had the gift of giving you her full attention whenever you were talking together. I had the impression that she valued what you were saying and it was important to her that you knew that. We will miss you, Sherry.

Mark, So very sorry to learn that Sherry passed away my thoughts and sympathy to you and your family.

This obituary has taken me completely by surprise. I knew Sherry through her involvement with the Town and Gown Chamber Music Association and the Ames Community Arts Council. She was the ideal volunteer, serious about excelling in her volunteer service, taking time to be a friend to those with whom she associated, and going the extra mile. I am glad I knew you,Sherry. My sympathies are with the many people whose lives you have touched and who are missing you today. You made a difference, Sherry, in many ways, on many levels.
