CandleKaren has been a close friend of our family for many years. She became part of our "extended family" spending the holidays with us. Everyone loved her coleslaw!

Her work ethic mirrored the effort and time she took with friends. We spent hours together at the nursing home during Ann Himes' illness. Our friendly banter put a smile on Ann's face. She knew how to be a true friend.

My friend, we will miss you.

CandleI worked for and with Karen for 9 years before retiring and remarrying in January 2006. I will miss her greatly for her quick wit and compassion. She was always a pleasure to be around. My memories of her will be cherished forever. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

CandleI was hired by Karen in August of 1999 when I finished high school. I remeber the day I interviewed for the job we didn't talk much about the job but talked more about life and getting to know each other. I want to say thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance to add my contribution to the success of Black & Decker. You will be missed and when you see Lance Jr in heaven give him a hug and kiss for me, my wife and his sister Cassidy.

CandleKaren was a driving force behind some of the successes of our Credit team at Stanley Black & Decker. She was a "go to" person because of her knowledge and he experiences in the company and elsewhere. She managed with a firm hand but also with compassion. She helped me persoanlly assimilate more easily into the Director role in 2007 by being a confidant, mentor and resource. Her wit will be missed and her presence will be felt here for a long time. It is never easy to part ways but all of us know someday we will meet again and that Karen was able to impact people in a special way. One of my most favorite quotes was "When I die I pray the world has been a better place since I passed this way". Karen truly made the world a better place and it is evident in the lives of the people she interacted with on a daily basis. We all will miss her.

My friendship with Karen was formed by the bonds of Roosevelt Elementary School. She was in the "other" class and the "other" Campfire group so we didn't know each other as well as we might have but we did manage to get into some trouble together during those Iowa State years. I haven't seen Karen for many years but she has taken a piece of my heart with her. She will be missed.
To her family and more recent friends let your memories sustain you.

CandleGary (Carol) and Family,
We were so very sorry to hear of Karen's passing. The unexpected departure of one we love wears heavily on our hearts and minds - we pray you are able to find comfort in knowing that Karen now rests in the arms of God. Michael and I did not know Karen personally but we were able to see, through the many wonderful comments about her, that she was a loving and wonderful person. Please know that we are thinking of you all during this very difficult time and will keep you in our prayers.

CandleWe were so sorry to hear of Karen's passing Gary. Although we never had the pleasure of meeting your sister, it is obvious from the other comments that she was a wonderful person. You and your family can take much comfort from these tributes by her friends and co-workers. Please know that we are thinking of you and Carol and your family during this difficult time.

CandleIn the very short time I knew Karen at Black & Decker, I can truly say that she brightened my day everyday. Karen and I had many 5 minute conversations that naturally and pleasantly stretched out into longer conversations. She was always there to answer questions about SAP and would drop whatever she was doing at the time to accomodate my questions. Karen was selfless in that way. She was a wealth of information, and I really appreciated her help.

Something I will remember always about Karen is the candidness and joking we enjoyed within our conversations. She never held back, and she didn't expect me to hold back, so we always enjoyed teasing each other about this and that. Everyone talks about her quick wit, and I certainly saw that in our conversations.

I will miss Karen. She was a good work friend and an even better person. I will picture her sitting across from me engaging me in witty banter. And I will remember her laugh. Rest In Peace, Karen. You will be missed!

CandleKaren hired me to work as a cash applier in her group back in 2005. She was nice, helpful, and funny. Her door was always open to talk!! I enjoyed our conversations, as she always encourged me to continue with my college education. I will never forget our little discussions about classes on a weekly basis. She will truly be missed, and my prayers and thoughts go out to her entire family. RIP Karen Bath!!!

CandleHow blessed I am to have had Karen as my friend. She always made time in her own busy life for me, and I will cherish her thoughtfulness. We shared good times whether vacationing together or meeting up when we were both at the beach at the same time. From catching up in person over a dinner to a quick phone call that lasted an hour or more, she always made time. She helped me through some times when I needed a friend. She was a good friend who never failed to put a smile on my face and I will truly miss her. Although I never met her family, my thoughts and prayers are with them in their time of sorrow.

CandleHow blessed our family was to have been with Karen at her dad's (Uncle John's) 100th birthday celebration in September 2010. All our family reunions were so special - and we all loved being around Karen and her wonderful sense of humor. Her Aunt Bess adored her as we all did, they shared many laughs, and now you'll keep her laughing Karen.

Our prayers are with you Uncle John and your family, as I know how deeply she'll be missed.

Although I haven't seen Karen for over 30 years, I am proud to say that we were always "best" friends. Our familys enjoyed picnics, dinners, games and each other as long as I can remember. Well before kindergarten, Karen and I had lots of great times. Her smile and fun personality are images I will never forget. I am also proud to have been part of the hottest Bath/Morgan family camping trip ever!!
Even though we lived miles apart, my memories of Karen are special and I will miss her dearly.
My prayars go to John and family.
