Monte Moorman age, 62 of Ames passed away at Mary Greeley Medical Center on November 3, 2019. A gathering will be 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care in Ames.
Monte was born June 3, 1957 in Webster City, Iowa the son of Ronald Moorman and Penny (Winters) Scherrard. He graduated from Boone High School. He met Toni Overton in 1990 and the couple was married on September 19, 2000.
Monte is survived by his wife, Toni Overton, his children, Jessica (Noah) Meeks and Joshua Moorman his father Ronald (Donna) Moorman, his mother, Penny Jean Scherrard, six grandchildren, Hunter, Lori, Jazmine Meeks , Sydney, Kelsea, Jake Moorman a great granddaughter, Maizcey, a brother, Greg Moorman, 3 sisters, Dee Anna Bechtal, Kim (Jeff) Mosiman, and Shelley Osmundson, nephew, Nick Fritzgerald.
Toni feels like she has lost half of herself.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to American Diabetes, U of Iowa transplant and American Cancer Association.
