Sylvia Merkle age 92, of Ames, Iowa died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, a visitation will be Noon until 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way Ames, Iowa with a 2:00 PM Graveside service at Ames Municipal Cemetery in 9th and Maxwell in Ames, Iowa.
Sylvia was born August 8, 1917 in Ames the daughter of Albert and Julia (Metzer) Stettler. She graduated from Ames High School. She worked at Iowa State University in the Business College before retirement. She enjoyed reading to children and also Heartland Senior Services in Ames.
