Mrs. Picht was my Kindergarten teacher at Roosevelt. She was also a dear friend, thanks to the friendship she had with my family. The best memories come from her classroom. She will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Fond memories of Glennice. I did my student teaching at Roosevelt and then assisted in first grade. My room was next door to the kindergarten room. A very fun, talented lady who will be greatly missed I am sure.

Mrs. Picht was my Kindergarten teacher at Roosevelt School. I enjoyed our class so much. She had various "work stations" set up for art, reading, dress up, etc. . . This was long before other teachers were using "stations" in their classrooms. She was years ahead of her time in her teaching techniques and one of the best kindergarten teachers around.
I felt like a professional painter using an easel, oversized paintbrushes & "artist smock" in her class. Reading time was always a delight as well. The "Rest time" on the rugs was a challenge,to be still and try to be quiet at 5 years old. I'm sure she had a time trying to get us to actually "rest."
Thanks for all the special memories.
My deepest sympathies to your family.
