Thank you Jude and Juanita for being my godparents. Thank you for letting us stay at your home 1 week each summer for about 5 years. It was fun doing chores at your place. And fun going shopping, we watched as you tried on a new lipstick at the Estee Lauder counter in Younkers! We went to rodeos and parades too! We went to our first concert with you and Jude. We saw Porter Wagner, Dolly Parton and Charlie Pride at the KCCI theater. You came to all our events: piano recitals, dance recitals, concerts, county fair, state fair and graduations helped move me down to Kansas City for my first job away from home. We celebrated Christmases together. We always enjoyed eating your Christmas candy! (And now I wish I had your recipes!) Had fun playing "Scat" for pennies! We had fun playing with all your special indoor dogs! Admired your beanie baby collection and all the excitement that came with them when they first came out! We would surprise you and visit you at the hospitality shop at Mary Greeley, where you volunteered and you would make us a strawberry shake! Thank you for all the talks and visits, hugs and kisses! See you in Heaven!
My sincere sympathy to Juanita's family. I've known Juanita for over 40 years. I did her hair in beauty school and then many years later I bowled with her in the Merry Maids League at 20th Century. She was always such a sweet lady, very soft spoken and caring. She and Jude were the most loving couple who never spent much time apart it seemed. Now they're together again.
