Candle"Purple" That vibrant color will always remind me of Bettejean. I think at one point in her life, her hair was purple. I admire a purple Orchid and think of her, purple flowers and think of the all the beautiful flowers that surrounded her house. I will alwasy remember the countless hours at the Barnhouse's watching TV and listen to Ken & Betty's country music records. She always gave of herself and never expected anything in return. I learned many life values from Betty that I still practice today. Peace be with you Bettejean.
Love,
Carolyn

CandleKEEE AAA KEEE...just one of the MANY memories I will hold close to my heart. This field is not large enough to tell you all about Betty Barnhouse...when I was 2 I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Betty. You see, we lived next door to the Barnhouse family in thier rental property. That's where I met one of my life long friends Renee. So at this point I can actually call Betty my second mom for quite a few of my VERY important years of my life. I am truly blessed to be part of this family and honored to call her my "second" mom. I love you Betty Jean and will miss your undoubtedly courages life. MUAH from Yuma Arizona

I know Bettyjean as I would always stop and talk to her as I walked by on the way to my mom's home on 16th street. Soon, my mom and her became friends, and she took a bus trip to Chicago with my mom to see their beloved Cubs. She will be missed on 16th street, but she is now in heaven watching the Cubs with my mom.

I took care of Bettejean at MGMC and enjoyed having her as a patient and meeting Roxanne and Renee and getting to know you all. One of the happiest times for me as a professional is seeing my patients get better and go home and one of the most difficult is seeing patients like your mom who don't get to go home. I'll remember her as one of my special patients and I'll never forget the look on her face when Ferbie came to visit her in the hospital. She just looked at me and shook her head as Ferbie sang "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". I extend my sympathy to the family and hope that fond memories who soon overshadow your sadness. Her obituary picture is beautiful. I love the dimples.
