Harvey John Larson (79) passed away on July 7, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Harvey Larson was born on September 20, 1943, to James Larson and Theresa Ihle, in Ames, Iowa. He was a graduate with the class of 1961 from Ames High School. Later in life, Harvey married Patricia Adams. The two would make a home and build their life together. They would later relocate to Arkansas, and Patricia would eventually pass away in 2007.

Harvey spent many years driving a truck for various outfits, some during his time in Arkansas. After his retirement, Harvey would move back to Ames where he would take up residence at the Roy Key apartments.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, James and Theresa Larson; his wife, Patricia; their daughter, Theresa; two brothers and two sisters. Harvey is survived by a son, a granddaughter, a grandson and two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Paul (Jane), Ron, Wayne (Mary Jo) Keith, and sister Karen. Also by many family friends who knew and loved him.

Harvey had the biggest heart that was always a blessing to all who ever crossed his path. I was blessed to have a great visit with Harvey at Marla's celebration of life.

Candle Papa. I miss you so much. Your passing is still not real to me. I keep expecting you to call. You were so good to me and the kids. And there for for us more than anyone.
I still remember your laugh and your warm hugs.
The kids still and will always talk about you.
You were so important to us. Im sad to lose the only real family member I've ever had.
I love you papa. You're forever in oir hearts and in our memories.
