Eleanor Bristol was born to Wallace and Gertrude Bristol in NYC on October 29, 1931. The youngest and only daughter, she lost her father at a young age and was raised and protected by her mother and 4 older brothers. In 1954, She married Alvin Wenz and to this union was born Jean and William. In 1959, she was diagnosed with a mental illness that affected the rest of her life, in an era that had little understanding of mental illness. They divorced in 1972. After which she returned to her maiden name and Queens NY, where she grew up.

She loved God, her church, and her family. As a military wife she enjoyed traveling and lived on both east and west coasts as well as the Philippines. She enjoyed knitting and showing off her shorthand skills.

She is survived by her children Jean (James Lochray) and William Wenz. 4 grandchildren Steve, Sarah, Anna and Desiree. And 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 older brothers.

No services are planned at this time. Eleanor's Ashes will be in the care of her children.
