Beverly May (Stark) McClure, 89, of Gilbert, IA, peacefully passed in the morning hours of February 6, 2024, surrounded by her girls and her loyal canine companion Tina Marie.

Beverly was born on June 13, 1934, to parents John Ferdinand Francis Stark and Dorothy Jeanette (Tozer) Stark of Ottumwa, IA. Beverly graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1952 and married Charles Edward McClure on June 24, 1956, at First Christian Church in Ames, Iowa.

A woman of remarkable resilience and spirit, her life was the embodiment of dedication and love for her family. Beverly enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing dominoes, bingo, and wintering in Texas, but her greatest joy and achievement was raising her five daughters. Beverly's love, wisdom, and cherished memories will forever be remembered and live on through her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Suncrest Home Health and Hospice, specifically Courtney, Michelle, Alexis, and Erica. Their amazing love, care, and attention allowed Beverly to live her last days with joy, compassion, and dignity.

Beverly is survived by her five daughters, Cynthia (McClure) Shaud (Jeffrey), Tammy (McClure) Lauri, Cherie (McClure) Phillips (Mike), Kelley (McClure) Hemesath (Dean), Tobi (McClure) Lutgen (Paul). Thirteen grandchildren, Brandon, Brett & Brooke Shaud, Cole, Stephanie & Paige Lauri, Brandy (Phillips) Sills (Josh), Hanna (Phillips) Wassenaar (Nick), Carter & Shayna Hemesath, Jessica Lande, Cody Lutgen (Samantha), Tristan Lutgen, and Nine great-grandchildren, Wyatt & Rylann Shaud, Daniella & Keller Lauri, Lincoln Crowdy, Harper & Grayson Berry, Blakely & Stevie Wassenaar. A brother-in-law Marion "Earl" McClure (Judy) and sister-in-law Jackie (McClure) Christenson. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents John Ferdinand Francis Stark (1906-1964), Dorothy Jeannette (Tozer) Stark (1907-1991), sister Donna Jean (Stark) Davies (1932-2004), and husband Charles Edward McClure (1933-2018).
