Theone Mary Duvall, age 98 ½ , passed away on May 30, 2026 in Davenport, Iowa. There will be family service at the Ames Cemetery on June 11 at 10:30 am, this will be followed by a celebration of life meal and fellowship at Hickory Park 11:15 am, all are invited.

Theone was born December 20, 1927 in Toldeo, IA to Alvin and Rose DuPre. She grew up in Toledo during the Great Depression and World War II and graduated from Toledo High School in 1945. She graduated from Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) in 1950 with a B.A. in Physical Education and taught in Anamosa, IA and Ames, IA. She married George Duvall in 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant brothers; her husband of 62 years, George Duvall; granddaughter Michaela Rose Duvall, and sister Dorothy Webber.

She is survived by a family she loved beyond reason: son Ben Duvall of Fredericksburg, Virginia; his two daughters Katie and Jenny; son Max Duvall and his wife Lauri of Davenport, Iowa, sister Gerry Plavets of Marshalltown, IA, three nieces, one nephew and their families.

Theone enjoyed life as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, friend and volunteer. She spent her last two years in Davenport where her son Max and daughter-in-law Lauri were able to spend many enjoyable moments with her.
