Phyllis Anderson, age 91, of Ames died Wednesday Nov. 14, in Ames. A gathering of friends and family will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 19, with a 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, in Ames with burial at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Phyllis was born Nov. 2, 1921 in Cleghorn, Iowa the daughter of Bertrand and Jennie M. (Ware) Dunn. She married Arnold C. Anderson on March 24, 1940, in Luverne, Minnesota. The couple farmed in Northwest Iowa before moving to Ames in 1967 where she retired from 3M. She enjoyed volunteering at Heartland Senior Center in the congregate meal program and RSVP, she was a member of North Grand Church of Christ in Ames and enjoyed her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Shari (Marlin) Marckmann of Des Moines, Arla Carmean of Ames, LeAnn (Bob) Siegle of Burlington, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a sister, Faye Wyum, of Rochester MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, her husband Arnold and a son-in-law Charlie Carmean.
